UHD resolution in the cleanroom
Systec & Solutions GmbH

What has long been commonplace in the home entertainment environment is also on the rise in cleanrooms - cleanroom displays with UHD resolution (3840 x 2160, 16:9). Systec & Solutions GmbH already offers two variants of its WAVE series in UHD resolution. The special applications and room situations for which this is advantageous are shown below.

Higher resolution in the cleanroom for improved ergonomics and better readability
Ultra-HD resolution offers four times more pixels than Full-HD and enables a much sharper and more detailed display of screen content. The true brilliance of Ultra HD is particularly evident at close distances, as is usual when working. Thanks to the higher pixel density, even the smallest text and images are easier to see. The improved legibility makes it possible to display more and smaller content. Employees have all the important information at a glance without having to scroll. For users, this means more efficient work and ergonomic use of the display.

A UHD display can be a good alternative to dual-screen solutions
In cleanrooms, it is common to have the MES and the process control system or other applications in view at the same time. Dual-display systems that display one piece of software per screen are ideal for this. If there is sufficient space, this can be achieved using a mobile, battery-operated workstation such as the TROLLEY LIGHT Duplex. A horizontal or vertical arrangement of two screens is also possible using a support arm system, although mounting using a particularly flexible U-tube support arm is not feasible due to the weight. Dual display solutions are no longer an ideal solution where space is limited or the load-bearing capacity of the walls is low.

A single-display solution is more compact and lighter. The higher resolution of a UHD display allows both software systems to be displayed simultaneously on just one screen and still offers the best readability. With its 27 inches, the WAVE 227 is particularly well suited for this. There are further advantages to choosing a UHD display. The lower energy consumption of a UHD display is reflected in the operating costs, for example, but also ensures a longer operating time for a battery-powered mobile solution.
