The new DeltaV automation platform adds SCADA, MES and operations management software technologies to support smarter, safer, more optimized and sustainable operations

AUSTIN, Texas (March 26, 2024) - Emerson, a global leader in automation technology and software, is extending its DeltaV™ brand to the DeltaV™ automation platform as part of its Boundless Automation™ vision for a seamless operational experience. DeltaV automation platform. The newly expanded automation platform will include Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems (SCADA), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and operations management software, which will be integrated alongside the Process Control System (DCS) and Safety Information System (SIS) and other technologies that have been an integral part of the brand for decades. This evolution creates a more comprehensive automation platform that makes it easier for users to deliver smarter, safer, more optimized and more sustainable operations.

Companies in virtually every industry, including life sciences, specialty chemicals, mining, food and beverage, energy and more, are facing new complexities as they tackle today's challenges to improve throughput, performance and quality while increasing the sustainability of operations. Navigating this increased complexity requires seamless mobility of data, reliable performance features and advanced control strategies from the shop floor to the boardroom. The comprehensive approach of the new DeltaV automation platform will enable users to implement more and more "site-specific" or even enterprise-wide automation solutions instead of "plant-specific" strategies - the more sophisticated, integrated automation strategies that are increasingly necessary to remain competitive in a complex, global marketplace.

"With increasing demands and higher sustainability goals, companies today are looking for ways to manage and contextualize data across the many software solutions they use to make decisions easier, faster and more confidently," said Nathan Pettus, president of Emerson's Process Systems and Solutions business. "The DeltaV automation platform will combine a flexible, purpose-built portfolio of DCS, SIS, SCADA, MES and operations management software with superior application experience and cross-industry expertise to make it easier for cross-functional teams across the organization to achieve their goals."

This comprehensive portfolio under a single brand gives users access to a holistic technological ecosystem with an even broader range of solutions. This will make it quicker and easier for companies to find the right solutions for their specific requirements and give them easier access to service, training and support.

All solutions integrated into the DeltaV automation platform are seamlessly supported by the digital customer platform Guardian™ digital customer platform. This provides users with a single point of access to Guardian's digital tools and subscriptions for all their solutions. This simplifies access to real-time monitoring, in-depth analytics and decision-relevant insights.

The continued evolution of the platform will also include future Emerson products. The development of offerings for the DeltaV automation platform will focus on products and systems that communicate and function better with each other to provide users with a more consistent and optimized experience.
