The BetaBioBox is a GMP-compliant bio-confined transfer system designed to maintain aseptic Grade A conditions when moving cultured cells from an isolator to standard external CO₂ incubators. Developed to support the increasing demands of ATMP manufacturing, it enables operators to prepare cell culture flasks inside a closed Grade A system and then remove them safely, without compromising sterility or introducing cross-contamination risks.
The device integrates a double-port RTP configuration with HEPA-filtered lids and a gyroscopic or inertial flask holder that ensures the integrity and stability of the load during connection and disconnection. Its robust airtightness preserves the same aseptic environment of the isolator throughout transfers across lower-grade cleanrooms, allowing the use of standard equipment instead of costly dedicated incubators.
By enabling the secure handling of multiple patient-specific batches within the same incubator—each isolated in its own BetaBioBox—the system supports scale-up, reduces equipment costs, and increases operational flexibility. This makes the BetaBioBox a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective solution for bio-confined workflows in ATMP production.
