The flooring level is the largest horizontal surface in rooms and is also subject to the most intensive mechanical wear. High resistance and abrasion resistance are generally considered to be a matter of course. Applications in clean rooms require further features, above all high material/surface density in connection with minimal particle emission, in line with the requirements of EN ISO 14644-1, among others. The maximum reduction of airborne particles is one of the central technical challenges in the construction and operation of clean rooms.
Tarkett floor and wall coverings provide essential functional elements for the technically demanding furnishing of sensitive environments with requirements up to class 3 according to ISO 14644-1. Maximum chemical resistance, very good decontamination properties and long-lasting physical conductivity/dissipation for ESD/EPA areas open up areas of application in a wide range of industries as well as in healthcare.
Sustainability accompanies the product life cycle from development to the possible complete recycling of offcuts and old flooring using our group's own ReStart® system.
