The sterilizer type SDR sterilizes liquids in open, semi sealed or 100% closed containers using the steam/air mixture process. This method was developed and patented by SBM in 1970 specifically for the pharmaceutical industry.
For this process, adjustable support pressure using sterile air is necessary to prevent deformation or fracture of the containers. To guarantee a homogeneous temperature distribution and therefore reliable sterilization, powerful radial fans and air baffles are used. Internal heat exchangers ensure rapid cooling and allow dry extraction of the products.
All types of our SBM sterilizers are characterized by the flexible recipe editor as well as the use of high quality standard components with global availability. Furthermore a maintenance and particle-free encapsulated door drive specifically developed for clean room applications is part of our standard equipment. With these and numerous other features, we guarantee high availability and process safety due to highest quality.
