The castus Beta equipment range is specifically designed for the contamination-free loading and unloading of components into or out of isolators, facilitating their subsequent transportation and storage. This comprehensive suite of equipment seamlessly complements the alpha ports by providing the necessary sterile connection for material transfer. They dock to the alpha Port with a 60-degree turning motion, forming a hermetically sealed connection via a lip seal.

Advantages of castus beta Equipment:

  • Provides secure transportation and storage of materials.
  • Optimizes operator handling for efficiency and ease of use.
  • Stainless steel variants are fully autoclavable.
  • Offers protection of components through fixation.
  • Features minimal contact surfaces for easy cleaning.
  • Fully extractable and exchangeable racks

castus Beta Equipment:

  • Beta Transfer Container 316L: These containers are for contamination-free loading, unloading, transport, and storage. They feature a modular design, electropolished surfaces (Ra <0.8), and are made of 316L stainless steel with silicone seals. Available in 105 to 460 mm diameters, with variable lengths up to 1.5 meters. Handles are variable in position and design. Optional features include a sieve in the bottom and customizable standing baskets.
  • Beta Transfer Container PE: Designed for component handling, transport, and storage, these containers are suitable for sterilization by gas or rays (not autoclaving). Made of high-quality plastic with a seamless weld production process for easy cleaning. Available in useful diameters from 105 to 460 mm and total lengths up to 500 mm, with PE bodies and silicone seals.
  • Beta Liquid Transfer Container: A specialized stainless-steel beta Container for liquid transfer into filling lines. It features a TriClamp blind cover customizable with nozzles for tube connections, with the amount of nozzles being customizable. Outer tubes can be sealed with S2S connectors. Autoclavable, it docks to existing alpha Ports, eliminating the need for an additional port. It can be used with product tanks inside or outside the isolator. Available in 105 to 460 mm diameters, made of 316L, with silicone seals.
  • Beta Liner PE: Facilitates safe and simple unloading of contaminated material and waste from an isolator. Material is placed into the liner, then the film can be clipped or sealed off for disposal. Uses a special folding system for 25 or 40-meter films mounted on a PE carrier, protected by a hard cover. The quick-change system allows safe film cartridge replacement. Flange and hardcover are reusable; Gamma-sterilized liners are available upon request.
  • Beta Drawer System, Rack, Cage:
    • Drawer System: Allows the interior of the stainless steel beta transfer container to be specifically equipped for delicate components, with the rack pulling out like a drawer for easy access to contents.
    • Rack: Designed for easy handling of special and standard format parts. Racks are fully autoclavable and can be customized to requirements, ensuring safe transfer of delicate parts like filling needles. Racks are fully extractable and exchangeable.
    • Cage: A specific solution for stopper and cap handling. The cage can be pulled out of the beta Transfer Container to directly fill parts into the hopper of a filling line. If direct filling is possible, the metal slide can be eliminated, which positively impacts the laminar flow of the isolator.
  • Beta False Container (105-460): This accessory enables decontamination of the alpha seal surface when the alpha Port door is open during isolator decontamination. It is available for all alpha Port sizes from 105 to 460 mm.
  • Beta Flange for Adaption: A stainless steel flange for mounting onto an existing product via screw connection, integrating it into the alpha/beta system. It has a useful diameter ranging from 190 to 460 mm. Made of 316L stainless steel with silicone seal options. This solution offers flexible use, effectively transforming an existing product into a beta container.
