The castus alpha Port is a critical component for safe and sterile product transfer into and out of isolator systems. Designed to integrate directly into the isolator wall, it functions as a reliable contamination barrier during material handling.

Advantages of the castus alpha Port:

• Incorporates a patented castus Safety Interlock System (CSIS) to prevent improper operation, ensuring high levels of personal and product protection.
• Guarantees the alpha Port door can only be opened after a beta Part has been properly docked, and the beta Part can only be undocked once the alpha Port door is securely closed.
• Optimized for "Wash In Place" (WIP).
• Features a reduced outer diameter, height, and fewer moving parts.

Alpha Port Variants:

• SQ (Swabian Quality): The SQ Port is offered in sizes 105, 190, 270, and 350 mm. A 460 mm version is also available, though currently only in the previous generation. Operated manually via a glove port, the system does not include automation. The SQ alpha Port features fewer moving parts and an internally housed, fully sealed castus Safety Interlock System (CSIS). It is also optimized for WIP and designed with a more compact outer diameter and height.
• iCON: Conceived as an automated solution to minimize manual operator interventions within the isolator, the alpha Port iCON is available in 190 and 270 mm sizes. While primarily designed for automation, the iCON can also be configured as an automatable version or even for manual operation via a hand crank. As the latest alpha Port generation, it meets evolving GMP standards with a functional design that includes reduced contours for easier cleaning and efficient decontamination, ensuring user-friendly and ergonomic handling. Its engine integration and hand crank positions can be adjusted in 30-degree increments.
• Flushfloor: This unique castus solution is engineered for seamless, flush-to-floor installation within isolators, featuring a sleek, edge-free design. This design simplifies the handling of cleaning solutions or the disposal of broken glass inside the isolator. The Flushfloor port is available in 105, 190, 270 and 350 mm sizes.
• Other Standard Variants: The broader alpha Ports Spectrum includes additional standard variants such as the Roto SQ, Rotating, and Lowered models. These variants offer diverse operational possibilities, including suitability for heavy stopper/cap containers or heavy containers positioned below the isolator. These standard variants support only manual operational methods and do not offer automated functionality.
