Description
The APSPG silicone pump tubing from AdvantaPure® has been specially developed for use in peristaltic pumps. As with the APST tubing, this is a high-purity, platinum-cured and very high-quality silicone tubing. When selecting the silicone, the highest priority was given to high abrasion values, which guarantee a longer service life in the pumps. The APSPG hose series is characterised by both durability and extreme flexibility. The smooth surface of the hose ensures an even flow and is resistant to the formation of bacteria and germs.

This product is manufactured and packaged under clean room conditions in accordance with ISO 14644 class 7.

The APSPG tubing has been subjected to a test programme. Information on this can be found under Specification.

The generally very high chemical resistance of platinum-cured silicone tubing and the long service life of APSPG tubing in peristaltic pumps predestine this product for use in pharmaceutical and biotechnological applications. Please note, however, that this product is neither suitable as an implant nor for continuous vapour application.

The APSPG tubing can be sterilised and autoclaved, whereby a high number of autoclaving cycles accelerates the natural ageing process of the silicone material.

Technical data
Depending on the medium, this type of hose can be used in a temperature range from -70°C to +200°C.

50 +/- 5° Shore A quality (according to ASTM D 2240)

Specification
The APSPG hose is manufactured from a specified raw material in 50 +/- 5° Shore A quality (designation NI 205). This quality fulfils the following guidelines, among others:
- FDA 21 CFR 177.2600
- USP <87> Biological Reactivity Tests - In Vitro L929 MEM-Elution Tests
- USP <88> Biological Reactivity Tests - In Vivo L929 USP-Class VI Tests

All tests have been carried out on the end product at accredited laboratories.
