SVP Essential: Syntegon expands its portfolio
Pharmatec GmbH - a Syntegon company

Under the name SVP Essential, Syntegon Technology is launching a cost-efficient version of the proven Pharmatec SVP process systems for the production of small-volume liquid pharmaceuticals. With this portfolio expansion, Syntegon is responding to the current needs of the industry: "We are observing that pharmaceutical manufacturers are increasingly dependent on ever shorter delivery times for their systems," explains Stephan Hüttner, Head of Engineering Process Systems at Syntegon's Pharmatec product brand in Dresden. "Thanks to its standardized modular design, we can supply our customers with a fully automated, ready-to-use system in just six months with the SVP Essential."
SVP Essential - cost-efficient quality made in Germany
"With the Essential version of the SVP, both start-ups and pharmaceutical manufacturers in price-sensitive markets benefit from the highest quality 'made in Germany'. We have pre-developed a series of functional modules that can be put together in a modular system. This reduces the engineering effort and ultimately the delivery time," says Hüttner. With a maximum of two containers and volume sizes of 50 to 1,000 liters, the SVP Essential is particularly suitable for the production of simple parenterals such as painkillers or insulin as well as generics.
The compact system is supplied as a "package unit" with a technical skid in the clean room, so that customers can easily install it themselves. The Syntegon experts merely carry out the commissioning on site. Syntegon also relies on state-of-the-art, fully tested automation technology for the basic version of the SVP. "Customers receive a fully automated, completely closed system with reproducible cleaning and sterilization. This allows us to guarantee maximum process reliability," explains Hüttner.
Many years of experience and comprehensive service
The SVP Essential, which is now available, completes Syntegon's Pharmatec SVP portfolio. The company has been offering highly modular and flexible solutions for small-volume liquid pharmaceuticals for 20 years. "Our larger SVP systems with up to five containers can be easily expanded with customized isolator systems and are also suitable for processing toxic substances up to OEB5 thanks to their sophisticated containment flap system," says Hüttner. "This is why they are currently increasingly being used in the production of urgently needed Covid-19 vaccines." Pharmaceutical companies benefit not only from the reliable quality of SVP process systems, but also from Syntegon's many years of experience in system qualification and validation as well as the international Syntegon service network.
