The HTS801 sensor enables highly accurate measurement of humidity and temperature even under
the most difficult conditions such as high humidity and chemical exposure.

With the new HTS801, E+E Elektronik is launching its most powerful humidity and temperature sensor for industrial applications to date. The versatile high-end measuring device combines the Austrian sensor specialist's decades of experience in the field of humidity measurement with the high quality standards of industrial measurement technology. The measuring probes of the HTS801 have a high-quality, heatable sensor element for precise and long-term stable measurements even under the most difficult conditions. Additional options such as a large color display or plug-and-play sensor replacement using rapidX technology ensure user-friendly operation and easy maintenance.

Outstanding measuring performance, wide range of applications

The HTS801 is particularly suitable for use in applications with high humidity and chemical exposure. The monolithic E+E sensor element forms the basis for this. An integrated heater enables targeted heating of the sensor element and thus prevents condensation and its negative effects on the measurement result. Depending on the requirements, there is a choice of two operating modes specific to the type of construction:

  • "Condensation Guard" for short-term risk of condensation
  • "High HumidityGuard" for permanent high humidity and condensing conditions

In addition, all HTS801 models have an Automatic ReCovery (ARC) function. This removes chemical contamination and prevents possible drift effects by briefly and intensively heating the sensor element. In addition, the proven E+E sensor coating protects the sensor element and its
solder joints from corrosion or deposits. This special coating extends the service life of the sensor and ensures precise measurement results and improved long-term stability in harsh or corrosive environments. Thanks to its wide operating range from -80 °C to 180 °C and 300 bar, the HTS801 is suitable for a variety of applications, for example for monitoring drying processes, humidity and temperature monitoring in fuel cell test benches, climate chambers or high-humidity storage rooms through to demanding measurement tasks in meteorology and much more.

The robust polycarbonate or stainless steel housing with protection class IP65 / NEMA 4X enables easy installation and maintenance of the HTS801.

Plug-and-play sensor replacement

The HTS801 offers the option of intelligent, plug-in probes. Each HTS801 rapidX Smart Probe sensor can be exchanged without configuration, adjustment or calibration using the plug-and-play principle. The specific parameters are stored directly in the probe and are transmitted to the sensor when it is plugged in. This avoids downtime and costs if a probe needs to be replaced due to damage or recalibration.

Display with data logging and diagnostic function

The HTS801 is optionally available with a 3.5" TFT color display. This allows up to four measured variables to be displayed simultaneously and monitored on site. The integrated data logging function stores up to 20,000 measured values per measured variable. These can be shown graphically on the display or downloaded via the USB service interface. With the on-board diagnostics function, the operating status of the HTS801 can be checked directly on the device.

Interfaces and configuration

The measurement data is available at two freely scalable analog outputs, the RS485 (Modbus RTU) or Ethernet PoE (Modbus TCP) interface and at two alarm (relay) outputs. The HTS801 can be configured via the
USB port using the free PCS10 configuration software or directly on the device via the display and pushbuttons.
