The engineering office DITTEL Engineering in Schlehdorf, Upper Bavaria, has paved the way for the future with a company handover. The company remains in the possession of the family, but passes into younger hands. Florian Dittel, the 39-year-old son of the company founder, has been co-owner of the company since July 1, 2020.
Gernod Dittel founded the Engineering company 28 years ago as a one-man company and developed it into a renowned service provider in the cleanroom industry. The 63-year-old will continue to accompany the business activities of the now 30-strong engineering firm in the coming years.
The company handover is a step planned for the long term, securing technical and entrepreneurial know-how at the Schlehdorf site. "Ensuring continuity in right time is a signal to customers and employees," says Gernod Dittel. Father and son have been working together since 2007.
DITTEL Engineering offers jobs in the rural region of the Bavarian Highlands with contact to the high-tech industries of our time as well as to research institutes. Specialists from all engineering disciplines plan so-called clean rooms at the site in Schlehdorf. These are used for research and production in ever higher quality and purity and to protect patients in hospitals. In addition to planning, the range of services includes research, consulting, qualification, metrology and project management in all aspects of cleanroom technology.
The engineers transfer the high-quality standards to employee management, which is characterized by personal responsibility and self-direction: Those who work at Dittel are integrated into project teams, but largely organize their work autonomously. This freedom makes it possible to combine family and career and to develop professionally - just like father and son Dittel.
