Systec & Solutions offers two cleanroom-compliant IP65 stainless steel enclosures equipped with a seamlessly integrated Microsoft Surface Pro or Apple iPad Pro. For both enclosure variants, Systec & Solutions has developed new features and made optimizations to make them even better for demanding cleanroom and GMP environments.
Apple iPad and Microsoft Surface for the cleanroom
The Surface is available in 12.3 inches and the iPad in 11 inches. Both have a multi-touch display, which is additionally secured with an extra protective glass and can be operated with standard cleanroom gloves. The tablets are designed for many cleaning cycles thanks to the fully enclosed stainless steel housing and the protective glass. Thanks to the smooth surface, they can be cleaned thoroughly and safely with almost all common cleaning agents and disinfectants within a very short time. The special design of the housing has no dead zones. The on/off button and volume button are located on the front of the device and comply with IP65. The protruding keys on the Microsoft Surface enable secure login via Secure Sign-In (Ctrl + Alt + Del) even without a keyboard.
Cleanroom-compliant charging and data transmission
The openings of plug contacts such as USB or power connections in particular are usually a weak point that cannot be cleaned, as the sensitive technology is small and difficult to access and must not get wet. With the development of the new CLEANROOM CONNECTOR, Systec & Solutions has developed an ideal solution for the cleanroom. The CLEANROOM CONNECTOR is an IP65 charging contact flush-mounted in the stainless steel housing. It can be easily and thoroughly cleaned by spray or wipe disinfection. A special USB-C compatible connection cable is magnetically docked and held in place for charging. If required, the CLEANROOM CONNECTOR can also be used as a USB-A socket for data transfer via a data cable. This allows a USB stick, Ethernet adapter or other suitable end device to be connected. The CLEANROOM CONNECTOR is currently available for the Microsoft Surface Pro and will soon be available for the Apple iPad Pro.
Ergonomic use of the stainless steel tray
The stainless steel housing for the Microsoft Surface Pro and the Apple iPad Pro can be fitted with an optional handle. In addition, a holder can be selected that allows the device to be placed on a table or mounted on the wall. The standardized Vesa drilling pattern (75x75 mm) also allows the holder to be attached to common support arm systems. The flexible design of the holder allows the tablet to be mounted with a screen angle of approx. 30° or approx. 60° as required. Once the tablet has been fixed in place using the clamping device, the user can operate it safely without it slipping or charge it if necessary.
