Everyone is familiar with the shopping process. For example, you go to an electronics store to buy a new washing machine. You seek advice from a salesperson who you hope is knowledgeable. You decide on a machine and place your order. Once this is done, you assume that the right machine will be delivered to the right place at the right time. This is a completely normal and everyday process. But... unfortunately, mistakes can happen in this chain of events, such as
• Incorrect delivery location
• Delivery delay
• Wrong appliance
• Defective or damaged appliance
The plant manufacturer must consider how to keep this error rate as low as possible in order to achieve the smoothest possible project flow.
