Cleanroom technology, building regulations and occupational health and safety do not fit together from the perspective of many planners and users. At first glance, the high hygiene requirements for cleanrooms in research, production and healthcare are very difficult to reconcile with the regulations for a “normal avarage building”.
The presentation shows possibilities and examples of how the high hygiene requirements can be met without neglecting the safety of the building users, the building and the technology.
The design of escape routes and possible restrictions or special features of these are presented in examples, as are the possibilities for designing usage units without internal fire protection partitions shown. Fire protection equipment, such as fire alarm systems, generally restricts the specifications for cleanrooms - however, there are concepts and solutions for reconciling both requirements.
