The demands for sustainability and resilience in industrial and building environments are continuously increasing. This presentation will explore how Siemens' digital solutions significantly contribute to enhancing energy efficiency and ensuring operational readiness. The focus will be on the application of Digital Twins, such as the "Basis" system, which enables economic optimization of digital energy systems through the use of forecasting data. We will demonstrate how the intelligent control of flexible assets contributes to decarbonization, reduces operational costs, and manages peak loads. Another key aspect is the role of predictive maintenance for critical assets. Through advanced analytics and condition monitoring, including intelligent vibration monitoring, impending failures can be detected early, maintenance intervals precisely scheduled, and asset lifespans extended. This not only leads to a significant reduction in energy consumption but also increases system resilience and avoids unplanned downtime. The presentation will illustrate how data-driven approaches and proactive plant operation create a future-proof and sustainable infrastructure that combines both ecological and economic objectives.
