Sustainability, energy consumption and resource conservation are key issues in all industrial processes today. Every plant manufacturer is called upon to develop the best solutions for this. These issues are often in a process-related conflict with product safety or plant availability in changing operating conditions. In this presentation, we use the example of a pharmaceutical water production plant to show which aspects must be taken into account and where the technological limits lie to fulfill sustainability without compromising system efficiency.
