The company "Digitales Bauen" acts as a centre of excellence for modular building design and digital innovation within the Drees & Sommer Group.
The first part examines modular design in practice. The importance of modular planning is demonstrated using completed projects, such as the pRED Centre laboratory building for Roche in Basel and plans for battery and chip factories. Practical experience gained in planning these types of buildings has resulted in a novel, specially developed (and patented) construction solution for concrete ceilings in buildings with clean rooms, which offers decisive advantages.

The second part is devoted to the topic of robotics and artificial intelligence in the context of clean rooms. It shows how real-time capable digital twins are used in factory buildings with clean rooms, for example for simulations to identify sources of contamination in the Omniverse or to train cognitive robots for use in clean rooms.
As a cooperation partner of Nvidia and Neura Robotics in the development of robot-compatible, sensorised environments, the structural requirements for the use of cognitive robotics are also discussed.
