The use of laser scanning technology in the construction industry is becoming increasingly important - but when is it really worth the effort? In this presentation, we will take a practical look at the use of laser scanning in the Rhine region: from as-built surveys and the creation of construction drawings to support in execution and route planning. In addition to the technical possibilities, we will also examine economic aspects and discuss the advantages and disad-vantages in everyday project work. The aim is to provide a sound basis for decision-making for planners, clients and contractors.
