This year we successfully completed a new project, the “Isolator with Incubator”, for which we received a grant in 2021. The project was funded with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Industry and Trade under the TREND Programme.

The aim of the project was to develop a prototype system for the preparation of advanced therapy medicinal products, enabling the production of genetically modified human cells. These cells must be processed in an isolated system and expanded in incubators.

Within the project, a new standalone workstation enabling the preparation of advanced therapy medicinal products — specifically the production of genetically modified human cells — was successfully developed. The equipment consists of three main cooperating subsystems: the isolator workstation, the incubator, and the decontamination system.
The complete system has been tested multiple times, both in terms of its functionality and its operability and usability.
