The traditional focus on "household germs" narrows the view of the actual microbiological diversity in pharmaceutical production environments. This limitation can lead to significant risks, particularly with regards to Gram-negative bacteria. Based on real data, this presentation highlights the diversity of Gram-negative microorganisms in pharmaceutical production environments and demonstrates why a broader understanding of microbiological diversity is fundamental for risk assessment and contamination control.
