Magnetostrictive level transmitters are specially designed to meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. These level transmitters are particularly well suited to the conditions encountered in CIP/SIP cleaning processes, such as chemical resistance to cleaning solutions and elevated temperatures. They are not affected by foam formation and are ideal for measuring interface layers.
In contrast, gravimetric level measurement is carried out using bending beams outside the measuring medium. This measuring method is not affected by foam formation or other influences within a container. The method is used for containers such as silos or tanks.
