The scope of Annex 1 has increased due to the last revision. This is reflected in the increased number of pages. The Barrier Technologies subchapter has almost doubled in size as topics such as background environment, gloves and decontamination methods for both isolators and RABS are covered separately.
This makes it clear how the requirements on manufacturing areas and contamination controls are increasing. Companies now face the challenge of implementing these complex requirements.
