Flow cytometry has long been established for the determination of microbiological quality in a wide variety of applications. This presentation is the first to present a system that uses this technology online and almost in real time to monitor pharmaceutical water generation plants. The successful primary validation has proven that all intact germs including the so-called VBNC (viable but not culturable) are detected. Robust, reliable and low-maintenance.
