As Process Engineer Media Supply (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of process supply concepts for pure media (ultrapure water, pure steam, gases), chemical supply as well as waste water and waste gases for production plants and buildings of our customers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Through regular exchanges with our customers, you will ensure that all requirements are implemented and that the budget and schedule are adhered to.

Your tasks:

  • Planning, concept development and implementation of projects in the field of media supply for systems such as ultrapure water, pure steam, gases, chemical supply and waste (liquid and gaseous)
  • You coordinate cooperation with internal and external engineers, customers, site managers, partners and suppliers in interdisciplinary teams
  • You structure, prioritize and delegate complex tasks independently as part of a team
  • You take part in interdisciplinary group and specialist audits with the aim of ensuring the quality of our projects
  • You carry out quality checks on project documents, e.g. design calculations and documentation
  • You design internal training materials, present technical topics confidently and act as a mentor for younger team members
  • You compare technical offers, create technical documents and are responsible for the scope of delivery and commissioning
  • Based on your experience and technical skills, you will also take on additional tasks, such as
    • FAT (factory acceptance tests)
    • GMP risk analyses
    • HAZOP/HCCP/etc.
    • Supplier management
    • Review of 3D models and coordination / collision elimination
    • Creation of functional process descriptions and review of functional specifications

Qualifications

What you bring with you:

  • University degree in process engineering, biotechnology or chemical engineering or in a similar field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of biotechnology and/or the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in an engineering company
  • General knowledge of cGMP and in particular of GMP-regulated pure media processes and plant systems is assumed
  • Experience with process utility systems (WFI, ultrapure water, pure gases, process waste water/gas, etc.)
  • Social skills and ability to work in a team
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Visio and Excel)
  • Ideally, you also have experience with cleaning and sterilization systems such as CIP, autoclaves, washing systems or supply media such as heating steam and condensate and cooling water
  • Experience with 3D viewer software such as Navisworks is an advantage
  • Social skills and ability to work in a team
  • Fluency in English (C1+) and good knowledge of German (B2)
