Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is used to sterilize cleanrooms, incubators and other equipment. In this process, the humidity during the process is crucial for effectiveness.

H2O2 hinders the measurement of water vapor by occupying the pores on the surface of the sensor. It can also corrode sensitive materials such as the polymer used in humidity sensors. Conventional humidity sensors therefore have difficulty measuring accurately at high H2O2 concentrations and often fail.

Not so the PST sensor generation "Rotronic HC2A-SX-HH". Thanks to the specially developed HYGROMER®HH-1-SK sensor with additional protective grille, it is more resistant to H2O2 and the service life is significantly extended compared to the standard sensor for these applications. This sensor has proven itself for over 10 years under sterilization conditions. Some of the largest suppliers of H2O2 decontamination equipment have partnered with PST and rely on the sensor technology to ensure their solutions work effectively and flawlessly for their customers.
