Elastomer-free solutions for pipe couplings and interfaces in sterile process engineering offers, with regard to current and future legal requirements, solutions that have been tested for many years and are currently being increasingly used. The impending PFAS-ban and the stricter limit values of the new TA Luft are focusing attention on the question of how pipe connections can be sealed safely and in compliance with regulations in the future. In this speech session, the problems for the pharmaceutical, biotech, food and chemical industries as well as the hydrogen industry will be described and solutions identified. A key focus will be on elastomer-free pipe couplings.
